Imagine asking 130 people to travel from the furthest stretches of the country to a place magical enough to be worth it...that place is The Orchard Hood River.

We consider ourselves two of the luckiest people for being one of the first couples to get married at this venue. Every detail of the design is catered towards guests experiencing the mountains (Hood & Adams) at their utmost grandeur. The open-faced barn allows for seated guests to constantly be mesmerized by the views, and the surrounding lavenders and greenery are the perfect piece de resistance to compliment such a wondrous plot of land. Furthermore, every trip to the bar meant a moment to gaze around.

The bridal suite is cozy, but adorable in every way (ladies: hooks for days). Accommodations (tables, chairs, ceremony benches) have an amazing “rustic charm” design that is fitting for any style wedding. In a rare occasion (or was it planned?😉 ), our guests were speechless at golden hour, when UFO-shaped clouds of deep pinks and purples graced our sky. If you want a “magical” wedding, look no further than this venue. Between the adorable town, Multnomah Falls, and venue itself, it’s the perfect place to say ‘I do.’

Truly the most amazing location to have a wedding! If you are interested in having an outdoor wedding in the gorge with epic scenery and mountain views, this place ticks all the boxes. We were very fortunate to get to be able to hold our wedding at The Orchard during it’s very first wedding season. When my husband and I initially toured the venue, it was a concrete slab with an unpainted new barn structure surrounded by dirt. Even then, it was easy to see the inherent gorgeousness of this pear orchard with surrounding mountain views. The venue owners Molly and Amanda were down to earth, easy to work with, and professional but not formal (which I liked). The site was finished to perfection by our wedding: landscaping filled in and beautiful, classic string lights hung from the barn out to the orchard, barn walls whitewashed and beautiful, and dressing room decorated.

There are many beautiful wedding venues located in the gorge (I toured a lot of them before deciding on The Orchard). When comparing venue locations here are few things to think about that the Orchard offers that other venues did not.

1) Some venues had a view of Mt. Hood; The Orchard has double mountain views of Mt. Hood along with Mt. Adams
2) Other venues would have required us to book additional rentals; the Orchard included chairs, benches, farm tables, dessert table, a table for the DJ all in the venue rental price. Money saver
3) The portable bathrooms!!!! Technically this point could have gone under reason #2 but it really deserves its own separate line. So, the portable bathrooms are included in the venue rental price (again cool money saver). Also, they were really really really nice.... like PREMIUM! There are three bathrooms included in the price (1 is ADA accessible though all 3 I would say are spacious). They kind of look like an airstream bus. They have air conditioning, lighting and running water. Honestly, they were just like a regular bathroom... they were just located in the middle of a beautiful orchard My wedding had 150 guests and there was never a line.
4) The location of The Orchard. I can’t speak for all wedding venues but most of the ones we looked at (we were interested in scenery and nature) were located further out of town. The Orchard is just 10 minutes from downtown Hood River! It was so close. It feels like you are out in the country, but you are still really close to everything. It made it easy to coordinate our shuttle transportation for guests. And again it was a money saver that we were able to hire one shuttle to do multiple trips instead of needing to book multiple vehicles.

My husband and I were lucky enough to be married at this gorgeous venue about 3 weeks ago! We looked at several different places before we checked out The Orchard on a whim, and even though they were still very much under construction during our visit, the property really sold itself being situated right in the middle of a beautiful pear orchard with breathtaking views of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. We knew that this was our place as soon as we left!

Since then The Orchard has produced a beautiful big barn that is open on 2 sides which is perfect for a reception. The 2 closed sides block the wind but you are still able to look out and enjoy the view. They also have a great bar, bridal room, catering space and the fanciest portable outdoor restrooms (as our guests described them) complete with AC!

Everything about this place is absolutely wonderful especially the owners Molly and Amanda who are easy to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend The Orchard to any engaged couple looking for wedding venues in The Gorge.

We enjoyed working with the owners, something that was very important when we decided on a venue. We saw the property before it was finished but had a lot of confidence in the owners, and I’d say they over-delivered. We also had specific caterers we wanted to use and they have no problem with you bringing in your choice.

The property is beautiful with views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams, hollyhocks and hydrangeas surrounding you, hops growing up the barn, pear trees and the hills of the valley. We received multiple compliments on the venue and our guests continue to talk about it

The Orchard has to be one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have ever visited. So many gorgeous, classy PNW touches that make for a picture perfect wedding. The owners, Molly and Amanda, are extremely professional and on top of everything. Highly recommended if you’re in the market for a venue in the Columbia River Gorge.

Ever since I came to visit the property as it was in the works of being built - I knew it had something special that will attract clients with weddings of any size & look. This venue is stunning - the double mountain views will have you drooling without a doubt, and even if you happen to pop by on a cloudier day, the lush rolling hills beyond the orchard still offers an incredible backdrop. Not only is this venue beyond stunning, Amanda & Molly are so kind & easy to work with! The space is well maintained and the rentals included with the venue are amazing - not the standard cheap stuff that most venues opt for. I’ve planned weddings at numerous venues, and The Orchard is still at the top for me. I look forward to working with Molly & Amanda again!
